Producer Policies
Circular Action Alliance (CAA) is responsible for establishing and maintaining policies that define producer obligations under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws and participation in the Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO). These policies set forth the specific requirements producers must meet in order to remain in good standing with CAA’s participation agreements. CAA retains sole authority to develop, interpret, and amend these policies as needed to uphold regulatory compliance, ensure equitable treatment across producers, and support the effective administration of EPR responsibilities. For questions about CAA producer policies, please contact producer.support@circularaction.org.
Registration Policy
The Registration Policy establishes standards amongst Producers seeking Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance services, as outlined in the Participant Producer Agreement (PPA) or a state addendum (collectively, the "Agreement"), from Circular Action Alliance (CAA) in states where CAA operates as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO).
Reporting Policy
The Reporting Policy outlines the requirements for Producers to report the supply data necessary for determining fees under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs operated by Circular Action Alliance (CAA) in its role as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO).
Payment Policy
The Payment Policy establishes standards for Circular Action Alliance (CAA) Participants in making payments to CAA. This policy ensures fairness and equity for all Participants by promoting on-time reporting and payment and by recovering the costs of pursuing late reports and payments from Participants.
Producer Deliquency Policy
The Producer Delinquency Policy outlines how Circular Action Alliance (CAA) identifies, communicates, and works with producers to resolve unfulfilled producer obligations administered by CAA, and how unresolved delinquencies are escalated within Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs. It establishes a consistent, producer-facing framework for determining whether a producer is in good standing with CAA based on the obligations CAA administers under its program plans.
