Oregon Education & Outreach Webinar Series: The RMA’s Uniform Statewide Collection List

A Uniform Statewide Collection List (USCL) Campaign Webinar will be held on Wednesday, October. 30 at 1 pm PT that will share USCL communications components under development by CAA. Upon completion of the webinar, attendees will receive a survey via email where specific feedback can be provided. Please note, your feedback will remain confidential and will only be used by our teams to improve upon the USCL campaign components. CAA may also contact local governments and service providers to further discuss feedback received for those parties willing.

This webinar follows an Introductory Webinar that was held on October 9, providing background details about CAA’s plan for development of education and outreach materials and upcoming activities in the review process.

Circular Action Alliance is developing education and outreach materials in preparation for the launch of the Recycling Modernization Act (RMA), as described in CAA's program plan, with support from The Recycling Partnership. This webinar explains more about these efforts. It is an opportunity for organizations to share experiences and best practices in educating Oregonians about recycling and identify priorities for resources.

Colorado Consultation Session: Eco-Modulation, Reuse, Refill

Description: Colorado’s program plan must include eco-modulation factors that incentivize innovations in packing while discouraging other potentially detrimental packaging decisions. In this session, CAA will discuss the eco-modulation factors, approaches being used elsewhere, reporting, package design incentivization, and other issues. Webinar Series: Preparing Producers for Oregon Packaging EPR: E-Commerce and Online Retail Packaging

The last session of a four-part webinar series on Oregon’s new extended producer responsibility (EPR) law for packaging, paper, and food serviceware focused on printing and writing paper. Hosted by the Product Stewardship Institute on behalf of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and in partnership with Circular Action Alliance (CAA), this webinar aims to inform producers about their upcoming obligations under Oregon’s law, which has a start date of July 1, 2025.

This video includes:

  • An overview of extended producer responsibility (EPR) and its current status in the U.S.

  • A detailed explanation of Oregon’s new EPR regulation, including how to join a PRO, reporting requirements, fee structures, and enforcement.

  • A specific guidance for e-commerce packaging producers on identification of products covered under the law and compliance.
